La radio allemande ARD diffuse sur les ondes et sur son canal internet l'Anneau des Nibelungen en direct du Festival de Bayreuth (canal digital Bayern 2 plus/ DAB ou en livestream sur www.ardradiofestival.de). Pendant les quatre soirées, l'orchestre du festival de Bayreuth est placé sous la direction de Kirill Petrenko, qui fait ses débuts à Bayreuth. Mise en scène de Frank Castorf.
A noter que pendant 7 jours après la diffusion ces émissions de l'ARD sont encore disponibles en grande partie pour une réécoute ou pour l'enregistrement ( download du podcast en format MP3)
